Before the visit

A guide to online peptide care

Before agreeing to a plan

Ask for the whole cost.

The visit is only the start of the price question.

A monthly care fee can leave medicine as a separate charge.

Get a written quote with the items below. Ask what each charge covers and when it repeats.

Note A

Read the price label

Which price are you being shown?

List price

This is the maker’s published figure, not a personal quote for what you will pay.

Self-pay price

This is a cash price paid outside insurance.

That spending generally does not count toward your insurance deductible.

Your deductible is what you pay for some covered care before your plan begins sharing those costs.

Opening offer

Ask for the usual price after the offer, any refill deadline, and any commitment to keep paying.

For many offers reviewed on September 26, 2026, the stated terms expire December 31, 2026.

An offer’s end date is a reason to recheck the price, not proof that it will change.

Note B

Ask the plan about the exact medicine

For Medicare drug coverage, the condition being treated can change whether a medicine is eligible, as of September 26, 2026.

Being eligible for coverage does not promise that your own plan will pay.

Prior authorization is your plan’s review of a medicine request before it approves payment.

  • Is this medicine on my plan’s covered list for my condition?
  • What paperwork is needed before approval?
  • What will my share be, and what happens if coverage is refused?

Note C

A limited Medicare option

A program price is not a visit price

GLP-1 medicines copy a hormone, which is a signal in your body that affects blood sugar and appetite.

Semaglutide is one of these medicines, used for blood sugar control or weight loss depending on the product.

The temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge offers eligible people certain weight-loss medicines at $50 a month, as of September 26, 2026.

July 1, 2026, is the program’s opening date, and December 31, 2027, is its closing date.

That is a medicine copay, the patient’s share of its cost, rather than a quote for a consultation.

Eligibility depends on a person’s health conditions and which Medicare plan they have. A GLP-1 medicine payment already made by your Medicare drug plan in 2026 rules you out of the program for 2026.

Part D is Medicare’s drug benefit.

That $50 payment adds nothing toward reaching Part D’s yearly out-of-pocket limit.

Ask the prescriber and the program to check your eligibility before counting on this price.
